Fifth Round

GP FRANCE

Saint Jean D’Angely- The fifth round of the World Motorcross lands in France  at  St Jean D’Angely beautiful track with vertiginous ups and downs, very technical and made slippery by the rain fallen Saturday night.

MX1-The trial on Saturday sees a Tanel Leok  in a great dusting that in the last minutes mark an excellent third position overall

The qualification manche takes off and right from the beginning there is a  hard pushing manche and the chronometer confirms it-.

Tanel shoots off well from the starting gate but at the second bend some pilots in front of him fall, Tanel manages the swerve round the motors in front of him and overtakes them unhindered, though losing a few positions-

The TM ensign ends the manche in the 12th position.

MX1 First Manche—We ‘re at the start of the first manche the Estonian Express takes off well at the gate but at the second bend some fallen pilots in front of him impede him from maintaining his position, again in the saddle with great fast laps, Tanel finishes the manche in the 10th position in front of  Desalle Ramon eand Goncalves .

MX1 Second manche-  This time the take off  for the TM ensign doesn’t go well,  takes the bend twentieth but he doesn’t loose heart and remounts and darts off at a furious speed lap after lap constantly at the same speed. Overtaking is not easy, the track is very selective and narrow, but Tanel comes up hard and conquers the well earned tenth position.

MX2 The very young pilot  Ceco Peter Smitka re-enters after an accident during practise that  forced him to skip the transfer to America, but the will to drive is strong! He needs to measure his strength because the injury has kept him away from his motor for about twenty days

A few laps to test the trajectories and places himself in a grand ninth overall time. Hope for the race is good and moral has risen.

MX2 First  manche- The first manche of the MX2 takes off and halfway along the straight track a pilot hits a puddle of mud and falls forward . Smitka hits the motor  of the pilot on the ground, takes off again last and tries  to get back into the race, but unfortunately, halfway through the manche, maybe because of the fatigue, he looses control of his TMfactory and falls on the long downhill, he finishes but the shoulder he banged hurts a lot.

A medical check-up indicates a bad sprain of the shoulder.

So no second manche and Smitka returns home straight away for ulterior check.-ups by his own doctors
