May 30th, 2010 Glen Helen, San Bernardino, CA, USA MX1 Motocross World Championship Sixth round
Anthony Boissiere and TM RACING
in the top ten even in the Grand Prix of USA
Under the hot sun of California started the sixth round of the maximum league of Motocross, an important meeting at which TM team could not give up.
Glen Helen, perhaps the most famous motocross circuit in the world, with its characteristics has fascinated all the European riders who gave to the audience a great show, so as to quickly forget the lack of some U.S. riders who have deserted this world event. Even our Anthony Boissiére gave his contribution bringing his TM 450F MX fuel injection in the upper parts of the standings.
Anthony in qualifying race on Saturday managed to start in the leading group but in the first corner he remains penalized from a collision with other riders ending up in the middle of the group by that comeback with great energy finishing tenth. An important position that allows him to go to the start gate in an optimal position.
On Sunday in Race 1 Boissiére has a little hesitation at the start and remains in the middle of the group throughout the long straight start. On the first lap he passes around the fifteenth position but at mid-race he is in ninth place behind his countryman Pourcel. Anthony attacks and overcomes him but Pourcel try hard with a questionable overtaking, hit Anthony and put him out of the track forcing him to withdraw.
Start Race 2 and Boissiére is forced once again to recovery from the center of the whole group. Anthony does not give up and push hard his TM on the fast Californian track overcoming his rivals until the checkered flag that sees him to finish in eighth position close to Guarneri and Ramon who preceding it.
Boissiére said after the race: ".... I am very happy about my race. I've always been fast and in the last two laps I did record my best time. It’s a pity that in race 1 Pourcel tried to overtake me in that way with the only result to kick me out! Anyway today I got confirmation that I constantly can stay with the best riders....”.
Present at this meeting also the Czech Roman Heinrich in the Veteran world Championship class who, with the help of the TM Distributor of Czech Republic MCF-CZ could hire a TM MX 450F standard from the U.S. Distributor Barker Bros motorcycles. For Roman to race on the legendary track at Glen Helen is a dream that come true and that goes beyond the respectable seventeenth and nineteenth place in the two races scheduled.
Heinrich said after the race: "... .. I was very excited about racing here! I can consider myself very happy to be here at 48 years old. I want to thank my friend Alessandro Ferrari from MCF-CZ for giving me this opportunity, thanks to Dan Barker (TM USA/Canada) and to Tom Watson for assistance, and all TM’s friend.
